Darlene Davidson Champion

October 15, 1948 — April 12, 2025

Darlene Davidson Champion was born on October 15, 1948 to Robert Austin Davidson, Jr. & Willie Lee Worsham Davidson, of which each was remarried and she was raised by her dad and Stepmom, Marsha Ross Davidson. Darlene met the love of her life, Billy R. Champion of Mt. Vernon, at age 16 and they soon married and settled in Saraland, Alabama. She had an endless supply of love for her friends and family and could easily spend hours socializing with anyone that would have her! She was the type of person who felt most at home when taking care of others. Darlene always made time for those she loved and ensured that those in her life, knew how much she loved them. Before ending any conversation, she would always make sure you knew how much you'd be missed with multiple farewells! She enjoyed shopping, day trips, and spending time with her husband, friends, and grandchildren. Darlene passed on April 12, 2025, on the morning of the Pink Moon, which her family chooses to see as symbolic of her rebirth into one of God's angels as a bright shinning star!

Darlene is survived by her brothers, Billy, Robbie & Randy Davidson; sister, Kathy Davidson Rapole; sons, Jeffrey and Joey Champion; daughter, Jennifer Champion Meaux; grandchildren, Colby, Claire, and Hank Stubbs; Jasmine Irvin and Jackson Champion, multiple generations of cousins, nieces, nephews, all of whom she adored!

What a joyous heavenly reunion it must've been when she saw her beloved, Billy, along with dear family and friends that mentored her into the Darlene that we all knew and loved for 76 years! Thanks for the memories; we will continue to cherish all the pictures, gifts and good times that you left in our hearts!
