Wayne Douglas Burkett, Sr., a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Monday, August 3, 2020 at the age of 73. He was a retired pilot and flight instructor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia June Bridson Burkett, his parents and several siblings. He is survived by two daughters, Kelly S. (Andrew) Williams and Heather (Jeff) Browder; one son, Wayne Douglas Burkett, Jr.; one sister, Marion Hargett; two brothers, Ronald Edward Burkett and Winston Leroy (Emma) Burkett, Jr.; grandchilden, Aden and Asher Williams and Hunter and Sutten Kidd; a devoted nephew and niece, Victor and Michelle Jimerson; other relatives and friends.
