William 'Hubert' Gilley
William 'Hubert' Gilley, 95, of Saraland, AL, passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at home with family. Mr. Gilley was born in Geneva County, AL.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, at Mobile Memorial Gardens with Rev. Joshua W. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm followed by service at 2:00 pm.

Mr. Gilley retired from Alcoa in Mobile, AL, but continued to work at his business, Economy Auto in Theodore, AL, until dissolving that business in 2019
when he was 92 years old.

Mr. Gilley was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie Mae and James Monroe Gilley, sisters, Inez Creech and Nell Wright, brother, James Gilley,
step children, Carol Sanders and Allen Johnson.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara Payne Johnson Gilley, brother, Dallas 'Jack' Gilley, sisters, Lois Kilpatrick, Ann (Hulon) Jones, and Frances (Don-deceased)
Hersman, son, William (Ann) Ray Gilley, step sons, Ivan (Vivian) Johnson, Lewis (Brenda) Johnson and Daniel Johnson, step daughters, Arleen (Ron) Moore and Sharon (Danne') Adair. 16 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

William Gilley was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after serving in World War II with a rank of S2C.
