William "Billy" Oliver Hearn, age 55, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, in Mobile, Alabama.
Billy is survived by his loving wife, Dana, of Mobile; his son, Ethan Hearn, of Mobile; his brother, Tommy Hearn (Allison), of Mobile and two sisters, Charlotte "PeeWee" Glass and Jennifer Davenport of Mobile; nieces and nephews; Mother-in-law Judy Ussery of Granada, MS; and sister-in-law Denise Harris (Dale) of Odessa, TX. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jacque Sweatt, of Mobile; his father, John Hearn, Jr, of Theodore; his grandparents, John and Josephine Hearn, Sr, of Laurel, MS, and Jack and Margaret Myers, of Hattiesburg, MS.
Billy was born on the 9th day of January, 1966, to parents John Hearn, Jr and Jacque Sweatt. He graduated from Theodore High School in 1984, where he lettered in football and baseball. Billy worked as an electrician by trade before joining Pilot Catastrophe, where he worked for the last 20 years. Billy was a loving husband, loving father, and great family man.
Billy enjoyed fishing with his son, traveling with Dana to watch Ethan play baseball, fun crazy times taking selfies with his family, and spending time with his beloved dogs (Ace and Harper). He was an avid fan of Mobile Christian Baseball and Alabama Crimson Tide Football. During his time off, he enjoyed quiet nights at home watching movies with his wife and doing yard work. His family and friends will always remember him as a fun-loving, kind, caring, and generous person...and how his smile and laugh would light up the room.
A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, September 24th, at 2:00pm. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 2:00pm, prior to the service at Regency Church of Christ (501 South University Boulevard, Mobile, AL 36609). Jason Smith & Tally Hanes will officiate.
