In Loving Memory of William H. "Bill" James

William H. "Bill" James, an 82-year-old lifelong resident of Mobile, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2025. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Bill dedicated 30 years of his life to Bellsouth Telecommunications and later continued his career as a contractor for AT&T. He cherished spending time with family and friends and was a devoted Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Cypress Shores Baptist Church. Bill proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella L. James, and his parents, William Howard James Sr. and Laura Elizabeth James.

Bill is survived by his children, Anna Laura Duckworth and William B. "Billy" James (Leta); his grandchildren, Tyler Duckworth (Catie), Logan Duckworth, Bryant James (Anna), Kaitlin James, and Lawson James (Leah); as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held at Cypress Shores Baptist Church on Saturday, February 15, 2025 with Bro. Charlie Stallings officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 with the funeral service beginning at 11. A graveside service will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway.
