William Langston, Jr.

William Patton (Pat) Langston passed away to his eternal resting place Sunday, August 12th, 2018 at Springhill Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones. Born June 29, 1929 in Centreville, AL to the late William and Sarah Langston, he is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Margaret Wells Langston; one sister, Anna Laura Herndon of Huntsville, AL; daughters, Laura (Mark) Kilborn of Mobile, Lynne Lockhart of Augusta Georgia, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
An avid fisherman and conservationist Pat was raised in Tuscaloosa, before attending Mississippi State University where he graduated with a degree in Dairy Science. Following his graduation he immediately enlisted in the US Army where he served honorably as a 1st Lieutenant during the Korean War. Returning to Tuscaloosa he furthered his education earning a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Alabama. With degree's in hand he would embark on an illustrious 50 year career in the dairy industry serving on many boards and associations. Barbers Dairy of Birmingham is where he called home for over 40 years retiring as President and Chief Executive Officer in 1998. Memorial services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 6:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until service time.
