William Clarence "Doc" Moore of Theodore, Alabama passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018 at age 91.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Viola Deliska "Dee" Moore; daughters Margie Mauldin (Manning), Martha Weekley (Clint), and Trixie Snead (Rodney); grandchildren Abby Mauldin, Will Mauldin, Alison Boxold (Nick), Katherine Weekley, Walker Weekley, Brad Snead (Erin), Ben Snead (Leslie-Ann), Mary Beth Beard (Andy); great-grandchildren Emory Snead, Ann-Copeland Snead, Patton Snead, and Olivia Beard.
He traveled the world during his service in the Merchant Marines before being drafted by the Army during WWII. He worked for the FAA as an aviation instrument tech until he retired, and went on to teach electronics at the local community college.
He dedicated his life to his family and God, an active member of First Baptist Church Theodore, Alabama for many years. An avid fisherman and member of the Dauphin Island community, he volunteered for many years at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 26, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. in Mobile Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
