Willie Lee Brockwell

September 10, 1934 — January 14, 2024

Willie Lee Burns Brockwell 89 years of age, born in Fulton, Kentucky and resident of Mobile, AL passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family and entered her heavenly home to finally be reunited with her sweetheart Arvel. Born Sept 10, 1934 she was one of 5 children born to Robert Wesley Burns & Ireen Harrison Burns.


Willie Lee was "Shug" to her husband, "MomMom" to her grandkids and "Mrs. Billie" by the rest of the many lives she touched. She met and married her sweetheart Arvel Brockwell and they had 3 children. Both Willie Lee and Arvel felt a calling to do more for The Lord and attended Mid-Western Baptist College. Together they pastored 3 different churches for 26 years. They ministered until 1997 when they finally retired and were able to enjoy "their golden years" with their family.


Willie Lee was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Arvel Brockwell and grandson Jamie Thomas Brockwell.


She leaves to cherish her memory 1 daughter, Malinda Carol Brockwell (Mobile, AL), and 2 sons Billy Keith Brockwell (wife Kathryn) Theodore, AL, & Larry Thomas Brockwell (wife Susie) Theodore, AL; 6 Grandchildren Wesley, Angela, Joy, Tracey, Tommy, & Andrew; 14 Great Grandchildren, 14 Great Great Grandchildren, and 1 special "Angel Darlin" Emilee.


Willie Lee was a pastor's wife, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted to her church life/ministry and her family. She loved to garden and had numerous flower beds, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and always Roses. She loved cooking and taking care of her family-there was always a Sunday supper and Tuesday Supper for the WHOLE family. She was our "MomMom" and that was a full-time job that she took pride in doing-Caring for her family-Guiding us, and ALWAYS above anything else praying FOR us and WITH us.


She loved the Lord and was a good and faithful servant and her life was a testament to all who knew and loved her.
